Police seek red SUV in hit

Fairfax County Police are looking for a red Jeep Cherokee or similar vehicle which hit the local boy and left him in critical condition Friday near Lockheed Boulevard and Richmond Highway, according to police.

Victim of hit-and-run, 45, was found on the sidewalk at 2 am Friday. "The patrol Officers rolled up and saw a man lying on the road," said Don officer Gotthardt, spokeswoman for the Fairfax County Police. Some people have heard of the incident came to give help, he said. The driver of the SUV was reported to stop for a moment but then fled the scene.

SUV, Jeep Cherokee, which could have sustained damage to the right front bumper and perhaps part of the passenger cars, said Gotthardt. Police said that part of the car were found on the scene meant they could find a new car.

The victim, who was believed to live near the scene of the accident, medevaced to Mount Vernon Hospital.

Police said the jeep journey south of route 1 and people crossing from the East side of route 1 to the West side.
